MediaSave

MediaSave ("we", "our", or "us") is operated by Aurevix Labs. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Android application MediaSave (package: com.mediasave.app). By using MediaSave you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following categories of information:

• Device & Usage Data – anonymised crash reports and app-performance diagnostics collected automatically via Google Firebase Crashlytics and Google Analytics for Firebase.
• Advertising ID – Google Advertising ID (GAID) used by Google AdMob to serve personalised or non-personalised ads, subject to your consent choices.
• Media Files You Download – files are saved directly to your device storage. We do not upload, access, or store your downloaded media on our servers.
• Local App Data – download history and user preferences are stored locally on your device using SQLite and local storage. This data is never transmitted to our servers.

We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or any personally identifiable information unless you contact us directly.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and improve the app's features and stability (crash reporting & analytics).
• To display advertisements through Google AdMob that help fund free access to the app.
• To comply with legal obligations.

3. Advertising & Google AdMob

MediaSave uses Google AdMob to display ads. AdMob may collect and use your Advertising ID and device information to serve personalised advertisements. You can opt out of personalised ads in your device settings under Privacy → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalisation.

For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, and Switzerland, we display a GDPR-compliant consent message before showing personalised ads. You may withdraw or change your consent at any time through the app's settings.

4. Firebase Analytics & Crashlytics

We use Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics (Google LLC) to understand how users interact with the app and to identify and fix crashes. Data collected by these services is anonymised and processed in accordance with Google Firebase's Privacy Policy. You can opt out of analytics collection through your device's "Opt out of Ads Personalisation" setting.

5. Storage Permissions

MediaSave requests access to your device storage solely to save media files you choose to download and to display your WhatsApp Status files for saving. We do not access, read, or transmit any files other than those you explicitly select within the app.

6. Data Retention

Local app data (download history, settings) is retained on your device until you uninstall the app or clear the app's data in Android settings. Crash logs and analytics data are retained by Google for up to 90 days.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only with the following third-party services that are integral to app operation:

• Google Firebase – crash reporting and analytics.
• Google AdMob – in-app advertising.

These services have their own privacy policies and data-handling practices.

8. Children's Privacy

MediaSave is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Your Rights (GDPR & CCPA)

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you.
• Object to or restrict processing of your data.
• Withdraw consent at any time (for EEA/UK users).
• Opt out of the "sale" of personal information (for California residents under CCPA).

10. Security

We implement reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information processed by MediaSave. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
